We are continuing to closely monitor the forecast, which calls for high tides across Hampton Roads on Monday, Oct. 3. At this time, Newport News Shipbuilding expects to continue with normal operations.

If conditions change and NNS operations are impacted, updates will be communicated via the following channels: Employee Information Phone Line (1-877-871-2058), NNS to Go app, company email, social media (HII pages and Jennifer Boykin’s Facebook page) and NNS websites.

Employees who live in low-lying areas should use caution when commuting to and from work. NNS employees working at offsite locations such as Norfolk Naval Shipyard and Naval Station Norfolk should follow offsite location reporting direction.

Additionally, there will be no vendor food trucks onsite at NNS on Monday, Oct. 3. Aramark canteens will be open, but will close early at 12:30 p.m.
