Newport News Shipbuilding is introducing a new series called “We Are Shipbuilders” to spotlight shipbuilders from across the company. This series will feature shipbuilders using photos and brief statements. Check out the first feature below.

“My dad was a pumper in X33 and retired from the shipyard four years ago after 40 years. We build the world’s greatest ships, but it wouldn’t be possible without fellowship. If we don’t come together on the same page, none of this is possible. What I like about being part of a service trade is making sure everybody is happy and having a good day. I look at us as firefighters. We get called all day long, and we’ve got to go out and handle different situations.”
