Newport News Shipbuilding Talent Acquisition will host open to the public, walk-in hiring events for trade opportunities every Wednesday starting on April 12 and continuing through June 28. These events are for job seekers interested in NNS trade careers. Events will be held at the NNS Employment Office, located at NetCenter (Suite 176, Entrance 3), from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Job seekers will have the opportunity for an interview and on-the-spot job offer, if qualified.

Since the “Walk-in Wednesday” events started in January, more than 1,100 job seekers have been interviewed, with more than 850 receiving on-the-spot job offers.

“I’m thrilled with the success of these events,” said Ryan Sparks, manager of trades hiring. “Every week, we are seeing a huge turnout of job seekers who want to work for NNS and who get hired on the spot.”
