A group of Newport News Shipbuilding employees recently became the fifth cohort since February 2023 to attend the Old Dominion University Women’s Initiative Network (ODU WIN) speaker series event.

ODU WIN is dedicated to supporting women as they work to achieve career goals. A network of experienced mentors in healthcare, science, technology, the military, communication and entrepreneurship provide guidance through mentorships and speaker series events.

Attendees have previously heard from speakers such as Karey Malyszko, NNS vice president of Plant Operations, and Dr. Mae Jemison, a former NASA astronaut.
