Windshield tours of Newport News Shipbuilding could be part of NNS Family Day on Oct. 28. Pending approval, the tours will cover selected areas of the shipyard and could include a visit to aircraft carrier John F. Kennedy (CVN 79).

Employees will have the opportunity to register themselves and up to five guests for the windshield tour. All reservations must be made in advance of Family Day. Registration is first come, first served and starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21.

Family Day will be held, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28. Free lunch will be available for all attendees from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Employees and their guests must present a ticket to attend Family Day. Tickets are required for children older than 2 years. In addition, employees must bring their NNS badge to enter the shipyard that day. All guests must be accompanied by an employee with a badge.
