Newport News Shipbuilding Talent Acquisition traveled to Montana in September to recruit at Gallatin College Montana State University in Bozeman, Helena College University of Montana in Helena, and Montana Technological University in Butte.

NNS partnered with U.S. Sen. Jon Tester of Montana to select schools to visit.

Talent Acquisition hosted trade recruiting information sessions, speaking with students majoring in construction trades, CNC machining, industrial welding and metal fabrication, and welding technology.

“I was so impressed with the caliber of students and programs at these schools,” said Ryan Sparks, manager of NNS trades recruiting. “These visits are part of our efforts to expand NNS trades recruiting outreach nationally.”
