Dear Shipbuilders,

On Monday we will celebrate Labor Day – a holiday honoring the American worker. As shipbuilders, our work embodies the spirit of this day. We believe in the dignity of hard work, the pride of craftsmanship, and the purpose of a noble mission. We understand that when our ships leave our dry docks and piers, they serve as sovereign U.S. territory – protecting our military, our allies, and our nation. The magnitude of this responsibility guides our every action, and lights a fire within us to excel. Take pride in this responsibility, and be proud to say, “I am a shipbuilder!”
