Newport News Shipbuilding has standardized production shifts for employees in ship operations, manufacturing and plant operations. The Facilities team has worked with Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) to see if HRT schedules could be adjusted in parallel to align with NNS production shifts.

However, due to scheduling and resource constraints, HRT is not able to implement changes until May 2025.

As a result, NNS will not monitor GoPass usage through May. All NNS HRT GoPasses will remain active during this timeframe – even if weekly usage requirements are not met.
