Newport News Shipbuilding kicked off Employee Appreciation Week March 3.

On Friday, nearly 130 wellness screening appointments were made, not including walk-ins, for Employee Well-Being Day at the HII Family Health Center. On Saturday, shipbuilders attended a Norfolk Admirals game for Family and Friends Day.

On Monday, 11 senior leaders engaged with foremen for two one-hour speed mentoring sessions. They discussed various topics from how to create a plan for career development and creating work life balance/boundaries to relationship management and conflict resolution.

Activities continue Thursday, with the Red Cross emergency response vehicle’s visit to NNS.
