Newport News Shipbuilding employees, along with their friends and family, are invited to learn hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at the HII Family Health Center on consecutive Saturdays, June 1 and 8.

Demonstrations will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the center, located at 4500 Washington Ave. Those interested can come at any time during that period to learn this life-saving skill.

Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere. The readiness of people in the community can make the difference between life and death.
