Before the Independence Day holiday, Newport News Shipbuilding President Jennifer Boykin sent a message to shipbuilders thanking them for their role in defending freedom.

“Whether you work on the deckplate, in a shop or in an office, every member of our team plays an important role in ensuring we deliver quality work that will serve our nation for decades to come,” she wrote.
