The rich culture and lived experiences of African Americans played a crucial role in shaping America as we know it today. February is Black History Month, and Newport News Shipbuilding and HII are proud to celebrate the achievements and contributions of African Americans to the history of both our company and our great nation as a whole.

NNS’ African American Shipbuilders Association is hosting a Black History Month celebration from 4:30 until 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, in the VASCIC Auditorium.
