Shipbuilders once againshowed their support to those in need during the Newport News Shipbuilding Holiday Food drive.

The drive resulted in more than 9,000 pounds of food and $6,622 in donations for the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. That’s a grand total of 27,534 meals.

The efforts of so many individuals, teams, departments, buildings and employee resource groups made a clear difference throughout the two-week campaign. Bldg. 600 rallied together again this year. Led by William McLaughlin, employees generously donated more than 5,000 pounds of food and $1,575.
